WIL Research Selects Provantis and Centrus for Worldwide Harmonization Project

Instem Chosen by International Contract Research Organization to Replace and Enhance Toxicology Systems and Processes

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - (BUSINESS WIRE) – May 1, 2014 - - Instem, a leading provider of IT solutions to the global early development healthcare market, announced today that WIL Research has selected them as their exclusive non-clinical technology partner to optimize study-related processes at all WIL worldwide sites.

WIL Research has approximately 1,200 staff and 63,000 square meters of laboratory space around the world. Their facilities offer a blend of technical and regulatory expertise in discovery support, product safety toxicological research, metabolism, bioanalytical chemistry, analytical chemistry and formulation services.

“We are delighted to announce our enhanced partnership with Instem on a global level to deploy a comprehensive solution for toxicology data collection and management across our facilities situated in the United States, the Netherlands and in France,” comments David Spaight, Chief Executive Officer at WIL Research. “By leveraging our existing experience with Provantis in France, this expanded platform will support growing demand from our clients requiring a common and seamless multi-site global study management solution.”

A multi-year project, WIL Research has chosen Instem’s entire Provantis 9 software suite, including their Logbook ELN solution for paper form replacement. Instem’s Toxicology Resource Planning (“TRP”) solution is also a key element of the Provantis deployment, increasing efficiencies by enabling WIL Research to plan and manage studies and programs, allocate resources, benchmark against past studies and plan workloads for the future.

WIL Research has additionally selected Instem’s Centrus-submit™ solution to support CDISC’s Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND).  The submit solution suite converts data from any source system into SEND files and allows sponsors, CRO’s and regulators to share, visualize and analyze study data more efficiently.

“WIL is so much more than a client, they have turned to us as a strategic partner and we are all excited to be part of this technology-driven transformation they are embarking upon,” comments Gregor Grant, Senior Vice President at Instem. “As a leading voice for the harmonization of software solutions and consolidation of mission-critical IT providers within the life sciences, it is encouraging for us to see organizations like WIL carrying out their essential research more efficiently by using state-of-the art technology and processes to the benefit of their clients.”
